Apple Confirmed that South Park Episode “200” is taken off iTunes Store.

April 24, 2010

iTunes Store Season Pass customer for “South Park: Uncensored, Season 14” reported that they were able to download Episode “200” prior the airing of Episode “201” on Wednesday. The Episode “200” has since disappeared from iTunes Store. The controversy surrounding Episode “201” seemed to be the reason why Episode “200” was taken off the iTunes Store, Amazon Digital Download and the broadcast.

The previously available episode “200” was identical to the Uncensored version that was streamed at South Park Studios.

According to an Apple iTunes Store Representative, South Park Episode “200” was indeed taken off the iTunes Store citing the iTunes Usage Rules:

Apple reserves the right not to post or publish any materials, and to delete, remove or edit any material, at any time in its sole discretion without notice or liability.

It is unclear if South Park Episode “200” was taken off the iTunes Store by Apple or by request from Comedy Central. Episode “201” was scheduled to be made available on iTunes Store this Saturday April 24th, 2010. It is unclear if and when Episode “201” will be made available for purchase.

At the Amazon Video On Demand, Episode “200” is also unavailable.

I’m disappointed in Apple. Reading this makes me ashamed to say that I’m an Apple fan.

It seems that Apple and or Comedy Central has no issue with South Park mocking every other religion… but when Islam may be offended they run for cover. It begs the question, “why would Comedy Central and Apple be concerned with whether Islam was offended?” Are they concerned that they may hurt someone’s feelings? I think not… otherwise they would have been just as concerned when other people, institutions and religions were mocked by South Park. Could it be that the “peaceful” and “tolerant” religion of Islam isn’t peaceful or tolerant at all? Perhaps the executives at Apple and or Comedy Central are concerned that some of them might end up like Theo VanGough if they offend Islam by distributing these shows.

Huh? Burn in hill? Not a big fan of either religions, but I’d rather be stuck in an elevator with a “Jew” rather than a Muslim any day of the week… Hope that dosent mean I’m going to burn in “hill”

To start I am not jewish but what I am getting from your statement is that it is ok for them to make fun of every other religion, color and creed except islam. That is simply ignorant. The point of this is if it is ok to make fun of one then all are ok and you should not be afraid of retalliation.

All I can say is Mohamed must be super fugly if the fruity Muslims don’t want anyone to see him. I’ve never met Mohamed but let me take a wild guess to what he looks like: Tan, dirty, hairy, wears sandles and some kind of cloth thing on his pointy head? Oh and probably smells really really bad? Of course I’m kidding but that’s because I actually have a sense of humor unlike the billion uptight Sand people that are getting their turbins in a bunch. Lighten up people and learn to laugh a little.

What are the jews going to lose. This religion thing really gets me. Muslim was formed from the judaic faith. Christians did as well. Technically all three have the same God. The difference is the prophet or messiah. Southpark makes fun of everyone that is what makes the show so good.
