iCloud is open for business.

October 11, 2011

iCloud is now available to the public at iCloud.com.

MobileMe users are required to move their accounts before they can use iCloud. Move your MobileMe account to iCloud.

Note:
I currently have a MobileMe account and an iCloud account, so I’m not in any hurry to move it. I will document the move using a different MobileMe account which belongs to a colleague.

OKAY, so I upgraded to iCloud from my MobileMe account. I am running OS 10.7.2

    PROBLEMS.
1-what happened to my file transfer ability? I had files on in my public folder TO SHARE, which are now GONE.
2 – Photo Stream crashes my iPhoto on my MacBook Pro every time I open IPHOTO, if it is activated in the iCloud System preferences.

    HELP.

      Judy,

Your MobileMe account is still somewhat active.
Services not transferred to iCloud such as iDisk and Keychain Synching will still be there until June 30, 2012.

As for iPhoto, drag it to the trash and reinstall it.
