How To Drain iPhone 3G Battery

July 13, 2008

Tips on draining iPhone 3G battery in minimum amount of time. All you have to do:

  • Turn on 3G.
  • Turn on Bluetooth and connect to a headset.
  • Turn Wi-Fi and “Ask to Join Networks” on.
  • Play music through built-in speaker.
  • Open Maps, and use the “Locate Me” feature using GPS. Leave the iPhone using that apps.
  • Turn screen brightness to maximum.
  • Set the iPhone not to lock.
  • Set the email to push and minimum of 15 minute interval.
  • Turn anything else you can find on.

Most likely the battery will drain within 90 minutes or less.

OK, that was somewhat pointless, but now I know not to do that anymore.

It is pointless, actually. I need to drain my 2G iPod touch so that I’ll be able to fully recharge it later.

    Let’s try your suggestion.

Using it in the sunlight with auto brightness turned on. That’s a good way to drain it for no purpose. Ever notice how it seems to drain so much quicker on the sun lounger?

    NOT pointless.

We want it to drain completely, then recharge it to 100%

You could just go to You Tube too…
And play long video a few times…

Not pointless, exactly what I googled for. Thanks. I did what you say, open everything i find, and what’s important here I think is stuff like (gps) tracking apps.
